Lesson 2: Life with Technology (or without)Could you go Techless for a day?
In class we are studying the idea(s) of technology and/or modern conveniences and how we have become quite dependent on these things that were designed to make life easier.
In society we have become increasingly aware of just how much technology (cell phones, laptops, video games, etc.) we use everyday with this digital generation we are a part of. This assignment is simple really. For one day of the upcoming weekend, you are asked to keep a journal/log of what they were doing, what technology they had to use and more importantly what technologies they were able to not use and eliminate . Your goal is to attempt to limit, as much as possible, your use of technology for a 24 hr period. I realize it is impossible to eliminate it but realistic to be able to reduce their usage for one day. |
